A space to explore your inner world through direct experience of your different parts.
Book your first session
If you are new to Voice Dialogue, you can begin with a 90-minute online taster session for £65.
This first session is offered in the same format by Christie, Lia, and Rebekah. We all work within the same practice, yet each of us brings a different presence, rhythm, and way of meeting you. Once you have booked a session below, the facilitator will get in touch with you to set up the time of the session. You can read more about each facilitator and then book your first session here through the website.
What a session offers
Voice Dialogue sessions offer a way to directly experience the different parts (selves) within you.
Rather than only talking about what is happening, you are supported to access and speak from different aspects of yourself, one at a time. This allows their perspectives, needs, feelings, and strategies to be heard more clearly, instead of remaining mixed together or operating in the background without much awareness.
The work is not about analysing yourself from a distance. It is about fully embracing and embodying the life of the different selves. In this way you learn to recognise what is shaping you, how different selves organise your choices and reactions, and what becomes possible when there is more awareness and more space inside.
How a sessions can support
Sessions can be supportive when you are meeting inner conflict, emotional intensity, or familiar patterns that do not fully make sense from the surface. You may notice one part of you wanting something and another pulling in the opposite direction. You may feel caught in self-criticism, pressure, relational reactivity, confusion, or a sense of being disconnected from yourself.
People often come to sessions around things like:
– inner conflict or indecision
– strong emotional reactions
– repeating relationship patterns
– self-criticism or inner pressure
– difficulty making choices
– a sense of being stuck, split, or disconnected
Who sessions are for
Sessions are open to anyone who feels drawn to exploring their inner world.
They may be particularly supportive if you are:
- new to Voice Dialogue and want a direct experience
- considering the training and want to understand the work
- already engaged in inner work and want a more experiential approach
- looking for a different way to understand patterns and reactions
- looking to experience deeper and more expanded dimensions of consciousness
Sessions and the training
A one-to-one session is the first step if you are considering joining the Voice Dialogue training.
It gives you a direct experience of the work and allows you to explore whether the training feels like the right next step for you.
Sessions can also be taken alongside the training, as a way of supporting integration, deepening the process, and giving more space to what is moving in your inner world over time.
How a session works
A session takes place in a guided, relational space with a facilitator. We begin by noticing what feels most alive in you at that moment, what emotion is on the surface, what is happening in the body, where the breath is, and which part seems to be most active.
From there, it may be clear that one part needs to come forward more fully. At that point, you will be invited to move physically to a different space in the room. This helps to differentiate and embody this particular self and allows you to speak directly with their particular voice.
In this way, the world view of this self becomes clear. As we listen to the voice of the self, we understand how this part of us sees life, how it feels, what is its’ history, what it believes is necessary, what it protects, what it fears, and what role it has been playing for you.
A session might begin with a self that holds everything together, or the one that pleases, the one that pushes, the one that criticises, the one that collapses, the one that is overwhelmed, the one that stays guarded, or the one that is angry. These are the voices that we habitually listen to, the ones we identify as our ‘personality’. We refer to these dominant parts as the primary selves. As the primary selves are given time and attention, their logic often begins to make sense.
Often, after hearing from a dominant self, we may then meet an opposite part referred to as a ‘polarity’. The polarities have not been given much space in your system, often they are highly repressed – known as the ‘disowned selves’. At other times we may discover a layer of vulnerability underneath a protector. There is no rigid formula. The session follows the inner direction of whatever is emerging, and unfolds in relationship with your pace and what your system is ready for.
At different points in the process, you step in and out of a self. This is a form of ‘energy work’ and that movement matters. It creates enough separation for you to feel the self and hear it clearly, without being completely overtaken by it. You are learning to become an ‘energy dancer’ and this is how the Aware Ego process develops.
Over time, sessions help you recognise your selves more clearly in daily life and make choices in relationship to them, rather than being unconsciously run by whichever one is strongest in the moment.
